“…a vibrant eclecticism,… set with a Bernstein-like theatricality.”

Allan Kozinn, New York Times, 5/28/89

The five movements of On Aging present different perspectives about old age as an independent stage of life, not just a prelude to death.  The poems are drawn from different cultures and eras; the musical style of the movements is thus varied.

It is suitable for school, community, and professional choruses alike.  The third movement features just the men, the fourth just the women.  Some of the movements stand well on their own, or in smaller groups.
